I have been running the DW for years. Head varsity coach would love us to run their offense which is the Delaware Wing t. Coach has said he would sit down with me some time in the spring to go over the offense. I just want to get a little head start of understanding the offense. Some of the typical plays are 33 belly, 847 waggle, 32 trap, 28 buck sweep, 28 jet sweep, the offense line splits are 2 ft between center and guard and 3 ft between guard and tackle and tackle and tight end. Our fullback is the 3 back our left half back is our 2 back and our right tail back is our 4 back. We number our holes even on the right odd on the left. Does any of this stuff sound familiar? Oh by the way I will be coaching 5th and 6th graders.
Thanks The Big Steve

Steve, Many of your plays you've mentioned but how some different numbering. The big thing is not the numbering of the play. Whether you call bucksweep 28, or like Delaware did (21) or like we did at Lasalle (71) the play is still bucksweep and there's a basic way to run it. If you check out the playbook section of the site, you can find the basic plays. They are essentially what you'll be running, you're going to have to get used to how you number the plays and match them with the name. It should be a pretty easy transition, considering that some of the plays have the name in them already. Here is the link, I hope you find it useful: coachmetz.com/playbook.aspxMetz
