I actually like the power-t. but one thing I forgot to mention before that the true dead-t is probably more similar to the double wing that it is to the wing-t. i've seen teams up in michigan use a dead-t scheme in the state championship. hopefully we can get a dead t guy that is more famliar with its nuances to join the site. i looked at the Tee for a long time before i went with the red blue set,i liked the nasty set with the te out 4 yards and a 2 back lead off tackle.also put a back in motion and run inside the motion or away,at your age group miami it would be tough good luck.

Metz Coach Metz: You have a MI Dead T coach who is a member and I would be happy to offer input on the Dead T or Olivet offense. Here is MI all T coaches refer to them selves as Wing T coaches. We have most of the Delaware series as part of our offense. We have Belly/Down and Jet/Rocket as staples of our system. The main thing we do is replace Buck with the Dead T. We run Belly/Down identical to Delaware. We will also run it out of the T formation. We will also run the Dead T series out of a traditional Delaware formation. Well we actually move the WB in behind the TE. IMHO we are closer to Delaware than DW although we have of late been influenced by the DW. We have found at the younger levels Wedge to be a good play and we run the DW super power out of the T formation on occasion. However, there are only a few coaches that will run these plays and none will ever go to foot to foot splits as a rule. Our splits are typically a little smaller than Delaware but can be identical. Again this depends upon the coach. I find that there are more DW coaches trying to add a Dead T series to their offense than Dead T coaches trying to add DW plays. This has been my past experience. Just my 2 cents to the conversation. Steve
