Just finished reading The Football 'Coaches' Guide to Clock Management by John Sterner. Great read- over a 100 yards of information! Am interested in hearing from Wing-T coaches and others on what you do in this regard- what has helped your team? Thanks. John Reardon

Coach, Is this book from Coaches Choice? I've been meaning to get to it...but it always seems like there's something else to read instead.
As for the clock management: At Lasalle, we had hurry up and no huddle modes. Hurry up was our "time is running down" offense, while no huddle was just a change of pace. In dead ball situations, we would huddle and I'd send a messenger with 2 plays, so that the 2nd play would not require a huddle if need be. That would save a few seconds off the clock. In the event I needed to call a play while the clock was running, they would set up in the same formation they did in the previous play. It was up to me to call the right play accordingly. We also had "Big Ben" which was our QB spike the ball play.Anytime we were in hurry up mode, the cadence would be on "set." Hopefully, some other coaches post on this topic as well. I'd love to hear what they do. Metz

Hello Metz, Thanks. I got the book from Amazon. There is a lot of detail. Very thorough. I suggest it. Hope to hear more here also. John
